The Lime Tree Theatre is a beautiful state of the art theatre, seating 510 which is located on the campus of Mary Immaculate College. Mary Immaculate college is an ever-expanding campus offering a wide range of programmes in Liberal Arts and education which currently has over 3,000 students.
Broad Range Of Acts
The Lime Tree Theatre is open since October 2012, and since then has hosted a broad range of performances, from theatre, comedy, arts, school performances to music and conferences. The Lime Tree Theatre brings an important cultural and social infrastructure into Limerick city centre and indeed the Mid-West of Ireland.
Louise Donlan is the current theatre director. She has a very broad experience in the Irish arts, with the Island Theatre Company from Limerick, Druid Theatre Company from Galway and the Dunamaise Arts Centre in Portlaoise and is a former member of the Arts Council.
IFI French Film Festival
The festival, which will run over the course of three days in November, will showcase a diverse selection of the best of contemporary and classic French filmmaking. Featuring award winning dramas, sparkling comedies and thought provoking documentaries, the festival provides unparalleled access to one of the world’s great national cinemas. Last year’s festival programme at the IFI included 25 Irish premieres, providing audiences with exclusive, first-look access to a broad range of critically acclaimed films.
