Located at number 2, Pery Square, this glorious Georgian building is one of the few restored Georgian Houses still standing in Co. Limerick and is undoubtedly one of the best examples of Georgian housing architecture in the country. This abode was erected in 1830 and when Limerick Civic Trust restored it in later years, every effort was made to restore and furnish the house as accurately as possible to how it would have stood in its era, so visitors get a true Georgian experience when exploring this property. Tours are available to view all the unique features from high skirting boards to the poster beds and typical Georgian outfits are on display to given an even greater feel for the times.
The Georgian House and Garden serves not only as a tourist attraction but as an idyllic venue for weddings, corporate functions, exhibitions and more. Food and wine is even available upon request. The venue can cater to all and will guarantee and spectacular evening whatever the occasion. The Georgian House and Garden is generally open to the public on weekdays from 10am to 4pm, and weekends by appointment only. Overlooking the People’s Park and just 5 minutes from the City Centre, the location is perfect for visitors to Limerick City.
